Census Bureau Records Regarding AI and Potential Mid-Decade Census

Records from the U.S. Census Bureau in response to American Oversight’s request for records on AI and a congressional notification relating to a potential  mid-decade census. These documents include information about a “non-audit engagement” between the U.S. Government and Accountability Office (GAO) and the Department of Commerce, which suggests congressional action in August 2025 requesting that GAO collect information from several other agencies on U.S. AI competitiveness.
