Taxpayers continuing to pay for Gableman inquiry, this time for $241,000 in legal fees
The three appellate judges — conservatives Mark Gundrum and Maria Lazar and liberal Lisa Neubauer — dismissed Vos’ argument in one of the cases that American Oversight had not filed a bill of costs for the $143,000 in fees in a timely manner. The panel found the group had properly filed the bill within the 30 days required, although the court’s clerk didn’t sign the document until about two months later.
