Paxton’s election fraud charges upend lives but result in few convictions

Paxton’s election integrity unit opened at least 169 cases of alleged voter fraud that appear to have resulted in just one judgment since 2016, according to records they released in response to a request from the nonprofit watchdog group American Oversight.
