As counsel at American Oversight, Kronig litigates state records requests and federal Freedom of Information Act disputes and collaborates with researchers on new investigations. For three and a half years, Kronig was the Voter Protection Director and Legal Counsel for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, where he served dually as general in-house counsel and resident voting rights and election administration expert, building a Voter Protection program that garnered national recognition for its innovation and effectiveness in helping people secure their right to vote. Prior to his time in Wisconsin, Kronig was a commercial litigator in New York and D.C. at Clarick Gueron Reisbaum LLP and Covington & Burling LLP. Before law school, he served for five years as a legislative assistant to former U.S. Sen. Chris Dodd, focusing on labor and employment policy. Kronig received his law degree at the Georgetown University Law Center.
